A Day in the Life of the Sands

I thought you all may enjoy a little glimpse into our life:

Grocery store yesterday after we dropped Bryant off at school:
Casey has to sit in the cart b/c Dayden is in his carseat in the seat part. I buy bananas and soon notice that the entire bunch is broken apart, you know, one banana here, one banana there. I buy apples, not your average size either they are HUGE. Walk a few aisles and notice Casey decided he must start munching on one. Go to check out and as I'm place one banana at a time on the belt, I notice an extra bell pepper...HMMMM how did that happen :) I have to take the HUGE apple from a screaming boy so the lady can weigh the half eaten apple. When I get home, I notice that most of the bananas are a little squishy since some sweet boy tried to open them.

This morning:
Nurse sleep protesting Dayden twice before 6:00am. The other boys decide 6:30 is wake up time and start screaming to get up. I manage to hang in bed till 7:00 :) Being the great mommy that I am, I make scrambled eggs all the while Casey is trying to get an apple out of the fridge and screaming b/c I won't let him get one. Give the boys eggs and Casey dumps all of his in the floor (not too easy to clean up since they smoosh when you wipe them). Not long afterwards Bryant has a poopy accident.

My house is always a tornado, it's NEVER quiet in here, someone is always crying or screaming or wanting something BUT I wouldn't trade it for the world (just don't ask me that when all of the above is going on :)

Changes

Everything changes and the kids grow up and there's nothing we can do to stop it!

Casey has spent the past 2 nights in his big boy bed in what is now his and Bryant's room. Oh he's no longer my baby in his little crib. He also talks so much now and is saying more and more each day. I love it when he says brudr (that's brother for those who don't speak Casey). The first night he spent in his room him and Bryant went to bed at the same time, and Casey just talked and talked to brudr and poor big Bryant had to tell him to "SHHHH!". It was too sweet.

Bryant is reaching the big 5 which means, kindergarten. That's right I said it, the big K. This week I need to call his school district and find out about registering him for school because I think he registers next week. YIKES! Where have the past 5 years gone? He's told me he's ready to go to school, but we'll see when he actually has to go every day all day long.

Dayden has rolled over as I last posted, and I even saw it happen that afternoon. He's trying to roll from back to front but still not there quite yet. He loves me SO much and loves being with me SO much that he still wakes up a couple of times a night to see me :) He's still in our room for now, but will hopefully be going to his new room and crib soon. Maybe then he won't need to see me in the middle of the night.

I've been training for another half marathon which I will run this Saturday. Mom is coming to stay with Chad and the boys Friday night while I get to spend the night in Ft Worth without them!! A night away is worth running 13.1 miles. But I'll be happy to see them at the finish line!!!

I promise I'll get photos up soon. We got a new computer and it doesn't have my photo program on here so I don't ever think to upload them right now. I'll get there though :)

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'

Guess who is a rollin? That's right....it's Dayden Doo!!!!! (That's what I call him sometimes) I didn't actually "see" him roll nor did anyone else, but I know he did it. He's a tummy sleeper (a no-no, I know) and when I went to get him after his morning nap, he was on his back!!! He rolled!!! He's been toying with it for a couple of weeks now but he finally did it!! Way to go big boy!

Party All the Time!!

Always a fun time at the Sands' house.

Casey was hiding his little snorting toy pig under the blanket and having a ball!

Grandma and Grandpa Sands came for a visit and everyone had a good time :)

Tummy Time

The Sands boys love their SANDbox :O)

Dayden's first time in the jumper. He kinda liked it.

A great circle of friends playdate. The boys loved their new shirts they made with their friends.

4 months

Dayden turned 4 months old the other day and had his check up last week. He is now a whopping 15lbs 1.5oz and 26in. He is pretty much average on weight and a wee bit longer than average. He's a wonderful baby!!!! He's so darn happy and smiles and "talks" and laughs all the time. He's really one of "those" babies who cries pretty much only when he is hungry, poopy, or really tired. He loves to watch his brothers and they love to play with him too. They sure are cute to watch! We are truly blessed!!!!!
